Haley Moore
Registered Social Worker (RSW)
What makes me stand out as a therapist is my focus on your well-being in a holistic way. Coming from an anti-oppressive lens, I practice with the values of dignity, diversity, and self-empowerment at the forefront. I highly value honesty, collaboration, respect, and empathy, all of which are evident in the way I approach our sessions. My hope is that all clients can reach their self-identified goals within a supportive, empathetic, and therapeutic relationship.
In working with clinicians, my goal is to make sure that every therapist feels competent, capable, and supported. An empowered clinician is one who can provide quality work with clients, and it is my mission to ensure that this becomes standard practice.
I completed my Bachelor's Degree in Social Work at the Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University) and my Master's Degree in Social Work at the University of Toronto. I am a Registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers and a member of the Ontario Association of Social Workers and Canadian Association of Social Workers.
I am a trained therapist with experience using evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness Therapy, Strengths-Based Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Solutions Focused Therapy, Schema Therapy, Somatic Therapy, the Gottman Method, and Internal Family Systems (IFS). I work from an eclectic approach to address the multi-faceted concerns that you bring to our sessions, and tailor your treatment plan to your specific needs rather than trying to fit you into one model of therapy. As a supervisor, I have completed the required trainings to supervise student clinicians, qualifying clinicians, as well as fully-licenced therapists.
