I offer depth-oriented, trauma-informed psychotherapy to adults (18+) of all genders and backgrounds using primarily a psychodynamic approach but also drawing on emotion-focussed, behavioural, and body-based techniques as needed. I provide therapy in-person and virtually, in French and English. I am accepting new clients.
Biographie
You might feel unable or unwilling to change, or overwhelmed and frightened by deep sadness or anger. You might notice patterns in your relationships to yourself and others that keep leading you to the same painful spot. Often, the roots run deeper than the present moment. Earlier experiences of feeling unseen, unsupported, or alone can shape how you move through the world in ways that aren't always obvious. You don't need to have had an extreme past for this to be true. I offer depth-oriented, exploratory psychotherapy for adults 18+ who are curious about their inner lives and ready to go beyond surface-level coping. Feeling genuinely heard allows patterns to surface and become workable, not as problems to fix, but as parts of yourself worth understanding. Over time, a new relationship with your inner experience becomes possible, one that allows you to respond differently than you have before. I work with adults 18+ in English and French in-person in central Ottawa and online, and am currently welcoming new clients. This kind of work takes time and a real relationship, but it's the kind that lasts.
