When asked about their work at CMAP Health, Ocean shared:
"I am deeply interested in how life experiences, environment, and personal circumstances shape the brain and influence mental health. My approach combines elements of forensic psychology and CBT to create a tailored, evidence-based therapy plan that fits each client’s individual context. I aim to understand how your experiences shape your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors to help you make meaningful changes.
Before joining CMAP Health, I worked in addiction services, crisis support, and with vulnerable populations, including those experiencing homelessness and youth with mental or physical disabilities. These experiences taught me the importance of resilience and how systemic and personal challenges can affect well-being.
I believe that change is a significant step. It’s about breaking old patterns, navigating discomfort, and embracing uncertainty. I’m committed to supporting my clients as they face their most challenging moments and work toward lasting, positive change."
