Hi, I'm Laura. A Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and owner of Thrive, Therapy. Through a thoughtful blend of evidence-based approaches, we’ll work together to help you feel more grounded, more empowered, and more in control. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure where to begin, you don’t have to figure it out alone. I'm here to support you, every step of the way. My aim is to offer a safe space to support others toward self-discovery and growth. Whether you're struggling with anxiety, life transitions, parenthood, burnout, or just don't feel like yourself, I'm here to help. I bring with me my experience as a mother of three, juggling the demands of life, changing careers and my own struggles with body image and disordered eating.​ My journey to becoming a therapist began when I was young, always showing an interest in people's stories, and valuing deep, authentic connections. I knew a career in mental health was what I wanted and I studied Psychology during undergrad. But life had other plans! After university, I found myself embarking on a 20-year career in Human Resources. Despite a long and happy career, I knew something was missing - purpose. So here I am, right back where I knew I belonged. After completing my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology, I started Thrive Therapy. I am registered with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO), and a member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA). I aim to provide a warm, authentic, and non-judgmental space where you are at the center of the process. Your experiences matter. Your emotions are welcome.
